Korean sisters Soo-Jin and Soo-Kyung Hong and Danish pianist Jens Elvekjaer created the Trio con Brio Copenhagen in 1999, and since then Soo-Kyung Hong and Elvekjaer married, the trio has taken numerous first-place prizes in European competitions, played prestigious concert halls and founded the Copenhagen Chamber Music Festival. They return to Seattle for a concert featuring Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No. 2 in C Minor, Op. 66 and Beethoven’s Piano Trio in B-flat Major, Op. 97, as well as Per Nørgård’s “Spell,” composed in 1973.
