Death Cab For Cutie, Modest Mouse, The Decemberists, Robyn, Wilco, Bright Eyes, Flogging Molly and the previously announced Foo Fighters are among the bands slated for the May 27-30 music festival at The Gorge Amphitheatre.
The Sasquatch! Music Festival has announced a monster collection of bands for Memorial Day weekend at the Gorge Amphitheatre. And true to the festival’s name, the lineup has a shaggy, Northwest character.
Top-of-the-bill rock bands Death Cab For Cutie, Modest Mouse and The Decemberists all have Northwest roots.
Among the dozens of other artists that will perform at the annual outdoor event are two skyrocketing Seattle acts — hip-hop duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and folk-pop outfit The Head and the Heart — and a bunch of other popular locals: “$5 Cover” band Moondoggies; R&B revivalists Wheedle’s Groove; and party rappers Mad Rad included.
Sasquatch!, which will swarm over several stages May 27-30 at the Gorge, is not only about Northwest music, however. It typically presents an eclectic mix of provocative contemporary sounds, and this year is no different.
