The musical “Once,” the winner of eight 2012 Tony Awards including one for best musical, will be part of the Broadway at the Paramount series of touring shows during the 2013-14 season.

Based on the sleeper hit indie film of the same title, “Once” includes songs by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, including tunes they wrote for the movie. Set in a scruffy Dublin pub, and performed by an ensemble of actor-musicians, the show is still running on Broadway and will be seen here in its first national tour, in a run from May 27-June 8, 2014.

“Priscilla Queen of the Desert” is another recent Broadway hit making its Seattle debut at the Paramount (Nov. 12-17, 2013). With a score composed of disco oldies (i.e., “I Will Survive,” “It’s Raining Men”), the glitzy show is adapted from another successful indie film, about a group of drag queens on a bumpy bus journey in the Australian outback.

Also in the Paramount lineup: A recent Broadway revival of the Andrew Lloyd Weber-Tim Rice musical “Evita,” inspired by the life of Argentinian political figure Evita Peron (Dec. 31-Jan. 5, 2014); and another return visit by the ever-popular Disney musical, “The Lion King” (March 11-April 6, 2014).
