★★½ “Draft Day” (PG-13): Kevin Costner takes a break from baseball movies to play the desperate general manager of the failing Cleveland Browns football team. The Seattle Seahawks play a key supporting role in the plot, which suggests how much intrigue and compromise have to do with final trading choices in football.
★★★ “Night Moves” (R): Filmed in Southern Oregon, Kelly Reichardt’s moody thriller follows three environmentalists — an organic farmer (Jesse Eisenberg), former society girl (Dakota Fanning) and troubled ex-Marine (Peter Sarsgaard) — who plot to blow up a local dam.
