‘The Escape Artist’
For some reason, our local PBS station has decided to run this new two-part “Masterpiece Mystery” series on a weeknight instead of its usual Sunday-night slot. Whatever the reason, this legal thriller starring David Tennant (“Broadchurch,” “Doctor Who”) as a defense lawyer looks to be can’t-miss television. Sophie Okonedo (“Hotel Rwanda” and a recent Tony winner for her Broadway turn in “A Raisin in the Sun”) co-stars. 10 p.m. Thursday, June 19, on KCTS (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).
