The music menu for Bumbershoot 2010 is taking shape, with additional details announced Tuesday by festival producer One Reel.
Headliners Bob Dylan, Mary J. Blige, Hole and Weezer, whose names were released last week, will be joined by Portland indie rockers The Decemberists; Chicago punk band Rise Against; hip-hop artist J. Cole; and a favorite of Northwest folk-pop fans, Neko Case.
The three-day music and arts festival, which takes place at Seattle Center Sept. 4-6, will have a strong local showing this year. The Moondoggies, The Maldives and THEESatisfaction — bands that all seem to be having a moment thanks in part to MTV’s “$5 Cover” project — are on the lineup. So, too, are solid Northwest acts Feral Children, Hey Marseilles, Fatal Lucciauno, Dave Bazan, Unnatural Helpers, Grynch, Fresh Espresso, Helladope, Visqueen, Japandroids, The Lonely H and Laura Veirs & The Hall of Flames.
Also on the bill is Wheedle’s Groove — a collection of veteran Seattle R&B artists whose careers have been resurrected by a recent recording and film project of the same name.

The Seattle jazz scene is represented by Greta Matassa Quartet and Matt Jorgensen Quintet, among others.
The headliners are grouped by style: Dylan, Case and The Decemberists lend the mainstage a folkie flavor Saturday night; Weezer, Hole and Rise Against give Sunday an alternative-rock spin; and Blige and J. Cole will close the festival Monday night with a rap/R&B-flavored set. One Reel promises one more “very special guest” to be announced later on the closing-night bill.
Also still to be announced: Bumbershoot’s literary, comedy, performing arts, visual arts, film and theater programming.
A new “Economy Ticket” will be offered this year for $22 advance or $30 at the gate. It allows patrons access for one day to all events on the Seattle Center grounds except the headlining mainstage shows in Memorial Stadium.
Standard tickets (for all events including mainstage shows) will be priced at $40 advance and $50 at the door.
Children 10 and under are invited to attend free; special Youngershoot programming — music, art and activities aimed at kids — promises to make Bumbershoot more family-friendly this year.
