Beach House, a Baltimore band signed to Seattle's Sub Pop record label, performs Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 3-4, at Showbox at the Market.

Baltimore band Beach House has a rich, mild, slow sound — the musical equivalent of béchamel sauce. They call it dream pop. The duo’s second album for local label Sub Pop, “Bloom,” has been popular in the indie sphere this year — so popular that Beach House’s shows here are both sold out. 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Showbox at the Market, 1426 First Ave., Seattle (888-929-7849 or www.showboxonline.com).
