Monday: The fourth-quarter earnings season kicks off, with industrial giant Alcoa reporting its financial results. Alcoa is the first company in the Dow Jones industrial average to issue earnings results each quarter. Its performance is considered a key indicator of economic trends.

Tuesday: Airbus will present its 2009 jet order and delivery totals. Louis Gallois, CEO of Airbus parent EADS, along with Airbus CEO Tom Enders and Airbus sales chief John Leahy, will speak about the state of Airbus and prospects for the year ahead.
