Police arrested a man who they believe stabbed another man in a University District Starbucks Wednesday evening, Seattle Police say.

Officers were called to the area near the 4100 block of University Way Northeast around 8:30 p.m., shortly before witnesses said a man entered the shop and cut another man, police said. Medics took the victim to Harborview Medical Center with a “serious cut” on the back of his neck, according to a police press release.

Police said the assailant was asked to leave the shop before the attack because he was causing a disturbance.

Witnesses followed him out of the store until officers found him in another business a few blocks away, police said.

Police said they intended to book the suspect into King County Jail.

No other details were immediately available. The incident remains under investigation.
