Seattle metro area properties with foreclosure filings rose about 6 percent to 21,536 in 2013, California-based real-estate data provider RealtyTrac reported this week.

The median price for distressed homes was 41 percent below the median price for non-distressed homes in December.

The company’s annual data also shows that almost 30 percent of home sales last month in King, Pierce and Snohomish counties were all-cash purchases, compared to 42 percent nationwide.
