Ed Thomas was named managing partner of Deloitte’s Seattle practice.

Thomas will oversee nearly 800 employees and will be responsible for the strategy and direction of the professional-services company’s activities in Seattle. He will also continue to serve as the lead client service partner for several key clients.

Thomas made partner at Deloitte in 1998 and in 2002 took over as the Deloitte Tax managing partner for the Pacific Northwest.

Architecture: Anthony Gianopoulos was promoted to principal, Brad Hinthorne was promoted to principal, Erik Mott was promoted to design principal and Brodie Bain was promoted to associate principal at Perkins+Will, Seattle.

Design:Mike Luckenbaugh was hired as CEO for Plexipixel in Seattle. Jen Ladd was hired by Elliott Bay Design Group, Seattle.

Digital marketing:Lianne Morgan was named managing director for Wire Stone’s Seattle office.

Engineering:Lisa Larson joined HDR’s hydropower practice in Seattle as the company’s strategic planning and client development lead for public and private utilities.

Service organizations:Laura McCloud Mathers was named executive director of The Rotary Club of Seattle.

Technology:Eric Brodersen was appointed chief marketing officer and senior vice president of business development at Impinj, Seattle.

Travel: David Gudgel was named vice president of business development at Clipper Vacations, Seattle.
