Brian Kokes was named vice president of advertising at The Seattle Times Co. Kokes was most recently vice president of advertising at the Bay Area News Group in San Jose, Calif.
Before that, Kokes served as vice president of sales at Gold Mobile, a mobile platform provider also in the Bay Area.
Kokes has significant experience in the news media business, having served as vice president of advertising at the Los Angeles Times and as national director of advertising at the San Francisco Chronicle.
Kokes is a native of Portland and an alum of the University of Oregon.
