Columbia State Bank filed notice Thursday it intends to foreclose on the site of a proposed six-story, 170-room hotel in Ballard.

Ballard Hotel LLC of Bellevue hasn’t made a payment since November on a 2007 loan, the bank said in a notice of trustee sale filed with King County.

The property is the site of the former Yankee Diner on 24th Avenue Northwest south of Market Street. Silver Cloud Inns & Hotels first proposed a hotel there in 2005.

Ballard Hotel bought the property in 2007, and last year received city permits for the project, according to public records..
