Seattle private equity firm Evergreen Pacific Partners has taken a stake in Auburn-based Span Alaska, a freight forwarding and logistics company focused on Alaska.

Span Alaska ships more than 200 million pounds of freight annually to Alaska and employs more than 100 people, the companies said. CEO Mike Landry and the Landry family will keep a significant ownership position, and Span expects to add staff and equipment. Details of Evergreen Pacific’s investment were not disclosed.
