Kindergartners from Bright Water Waldorf School in Seattle play on an old tree in Volunteer Park Friday, March 3, 2017.  One teacher said they use the park as a place for the children to play during recess.  The school really emphasizes that students are in touch with the natural world and experience its elements.  Children in the early youth childhood program spend much of their time outdoors.  On Fridays, they spend all day outside, sometimes regardless of the weather.
